Booking Terms and Conditions |
With privately-owned accommodation, offered in the "online booking" facility, Hive Villa Holidays is responsible for collection on behalf and on account of the provider. The following booking conditions apply:
- The rental due must be paid in full prior to the start of the vacation. 40% of the rental due must be paid to Hive Villa Holidays within 10 days of receipt of the booking confirmation. The booking will be cancelled and the booked accommodation released if no payment is received within 10 days of delivery of the booking confirmation. The balance of the rental is to be paid at least 45 days before the start of the vacation.
- With short-term reservations made less than 45 days before the rental start date, the full rental is to be paid to Hive Villa Holidays on receipt of the booking confirmation. The provider is entitled to withdraw the service if the rental is not settled within the agreed time limit.
- Details relating to the arrival time at, and occupation of, the holiday accommodation are included in the booking documents.
- If you wish to extend your stay in the rental, payment must be settled via Hive Villa Holidays.
- Hive Villa Holidays is entitled to offer you alternative accommodation if this is required due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.
- The holiday accommodation must not be occupied by more than the prescribed number of persons (including children/infants). Additional persons can be refused access by the key holder or charged accordingly.
- The holiday accommodation must be treated with due care. Any damage must be reported to the key holder without delay. The occupant is liable for any damage caused by him/her or by fellow occupants unless it can be proved that they are not responsible for the damage caused.
- If the property is not in a suitable condition as described in the contract or on the website, or if you sustain a loss, this must be reported to the key holder without delay. Hive Villa Holidays must be informed immediately if the key holder cannot remedy the fault within a reasonable space of time.
CancellationsThe cancellation terms and conditions apply if a booking is cancelled.
Cancellation of privately-owned holiday accommodation booked via the "online booking" facility on Hive Villa Holidays website is liable to the following cancellation charges:
- up to 46 days before start date: 10% of the invoice total
- 29 to 45 days before start date: 50% of the invoice total
- 2 to 28 days before start date: 80% of the invoice total
- The whole invoice total is due if cancellation is made the day before the start date or on the day of travel.
Contract The contract's text will be stored. You may store the general terms and conditions of business and readily look them up.
Right of Transferal Hive Villa Holidays reserves the right to transfer the rights and obligations of these Terms and Conditions to third parties in their entirety or partially.
Applicable law/Place of jurisdiction These Terms and Conditions as well as any legal disputes arising between the user and Hive Villa Holidays are governed by Kenya law.
